313 TVMS students earn AR reward from BW 3’s

Tri-Valley Middle School students participate in a program called Accelerated Reader.  Each quarter students are given an incentive to reach all 4 of their AR goals.  The 3rd quarter reward was a gift certificate from BW 3’s for free wings!   Thanks to BW 3’s for donating all the free wings.  313 TVMS students earned their reward.  Congratulations to all those students that worked so hard to reach all their goals.  It is quite an accomplishment to have that many students meet these lofty goals.

Congratulations are in order for our 7th grade boys’ basketball team that won the MVL Championship this season.  Congratulations to all our winter sports athletes for all their hard work and dedication, but most importantly for representing Tri-Valley in a positive manner at all times.  Thank you and job well done by all.

The 8th grade trip to Washington DC is almost here and students are getting excited.  There is a lot of planning and preparation that goes into this trip.  A big thanks goes out to our office staff for their extra effort in organizing this.  We will have a mandatory meeting for anyone going on the trip (this includes parents) on April 29 at 7pm in the middle school gym.  The tour group will be there and we will discuss all details pertaining to the trip.

The OAA tests are quickly approaching and we at TVMS are ready to take on the challenge.  The students and staff have been working hard to prepare and are confident that we will achieve our goal of being an excellent school again.  We would like to ask parents to donate either a healthy snack in individual packages or bottled water for your student’s testing group that week.  Most testing groups consist of 20 students.  These items may be brought to the school any day before the week of testing.  Testing week is April 22-26.  Please be sure your student gets plenty of rest and a nutritious breakfast.

It is hard to believe, but 8th grade promotion is just around the corner and we have already filled out scheduling paperwork for next school year.  If you have any questions or concerns about scheduling you can contact the school office.

As the weather continues to get warmer please help students be mindful of the dress code.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office or email me at cshawger@tvschools.org
