Reserve Basketball Tickets

Reserve Basketball Tickets, for the 2014-15 season, will be sold Wednesday, December 3rd, 5 - 7pm outside of the high school office.  This time is for previous season ticket holders only.  If you are unable to make it at this time, you may purchase your tickets in the high school office Thursday and Friday, 8am - 3pm.

 

The remainder of the reserve season tickets will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, December 9th, 5 - 7pm outside of the high school office.

 

The cost for a reserved seat is $55.

 

Reserved seats for Tri-Valley gold card holders are $30.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

TVMS Parent/Teacher Conferences
Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4

Students will be bringing home a Conference Request Form.  Parents have the opportunity to sign-up for conferences at their preferred times.  Please return this form to the main office by Friday, October 24.  A confirmation letter with all scheduled conferences will be sent home with your student the week of October 27.

TV Football Spring Banquet

The annual TV Spring Football Banquet will be held this Sunday, May 4th, 4 - 5pm, for all players entering grades 7-12 next year.  The banquet will be held in the TVHS Cafetorium.  Following the banquet, the 12th Man Club will have a meeting in the Halliburton Athletic Facility locker room.  Attached HERE is detailed information from Coach Buttermore.


Honor Society

Current Honor Society members are selling raffle tickets for the chance to win an opportunity to be a player, coach or cheerleader in the annual Student/Staff Basketball Game on May 2nd.  Tickets are being sold, during lunch, at a cost of $1 per chance or 6 chances for $5 Tickets will only be sold thru Friday, April 25th.


MS Office Opens

The Middle School office will open for the 2014-15 school year, Monday, August 4th, 7am - 2pm.  If you have a new student to register, please don't forget to bring the following paperwork:

- Birth certificate

- 2 proofs of residence

- Driver's license of parent registering the student

- Immunization records

- Custody papers, if applicable


Spring OAA Practice Test

Seventh and eighth grade students will be taking the spring Ohio Achievement practice tests March 18th, 19th and 20th.  These tests are very important and a good indicator of areas we need to work on to help students achieve their full potential.  Please try not to schedule appointments or have unnecessary absences during testing.   Thank you for your help!


7th Grade Orientation

7th Grade Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 14th, 6:30 - 8:00.  Students and parents will meet in the gymnasium at 6:30 for a message from our principal.  Afterwards, students may pick up their schedules and walk the halls to find their lockers and classrooms.  You may also pay school fees that evening and load lunch money on to student accounts.

Middle School fees are:

$25 technology fee
$7 science fee
   (You may write one check for both fees)

*Lunch money should be written on a seperate check*


Leo Club trip to Sky Zone

Leo Club members will be taking a trip to Sky Zone in Columbus, Sunday, April 27th.  Attached HERE is information for members, along with a permission slip that needs signed on behalf of Sky Zone.


Student/Staff Basketball Game

Coming to the Middle School gymnasium, Friday, May 2nd:  the long awaited, much talked about, Student/Staff Basketball Game!  Tickets will be available for purchase, in home rooms, April 28th - May 2nd at a cost of $2.  Half-time activities and lots of fun will get us prepared for the following week of OAA tests. 


Grade Cards

Final grade cards will be mailed home Thursday, May 29th.  If your student has unpaid school fees, you will receive a notice of the dollar amount owed.  You may stop in to the office until June 6th to pay the balance and receive your child's grade card.


Accelerated Reader

 

On April 16th, students that achieved their 3rd quarter Accelerated Reader goal will be rewarded with a trip to Cinemark to see "Divergent."  Your student's English teacher has passed out a permission slip to them if they qualified.  You can click HERE to read additional information about this field trip.  *Please don't forget to send a lunch with your student, unless you requested a sack lunch from the Middle School kitchen.*


DC Parent Meeting

Mark your calendars:  Mandatory DC Parent Meeting, April 29th at 6pm, Tri-Valley High School Cafetorium.  Final arrangements and paperwork will be handed out and discussed.  If you have an 8th grade student attending the DC trip, PLEASE make sure a parent attends this meeting. *Note; this meeting is at the High School*


Student Council Dance

TVMS Student Council will be sponsoring a dance Friday, May 2nd, 2:30 - 4:30.  Admission is $3. Snacks/drinks will be available for an additional cost.  This is for Middle School students only.  Join your friends for after school fun!


Piano Recital

Calling all music lovers.  There is a free, public piano recital  at Secrest Auditorium, Saturday, April 5th at 7pm.  The pianist is Dr. Harsha Aberyaratne a renowned concert pianist.  The event is open to the public and sponsored by the Thursday Music Club and Secrest Auditorium. 


Parent Teacher Conferences

Thursday, February 27th, 2:30 - 4:30

 

Teachers will send home a conference slip with your child if they need a conference with you.  If you would like to schedule a time, click HERE and return the slip with your child.


Real Money/Real World

 

 

 

This is a fun, "real world" activity for all 8th grade students to be held May 12th, 8:00 - 2:00 in the MS gymnasium.  Thank you to our parents for volunteering to help us.  We now have enough volunteers to staff the entire day.  Be sure to ask your eighth grade student what they learned, when they get home Monday evening.


Memorial Day

 

The Tri-Valley Marching Band will be performing in the Frazeysburg American Legion parade on May 25th at 1:30 and the Dresden Memorial Day Parade, May 26th at 9am. Please come out to support our veterans and our band members Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you parents for sharing your kids with us this past school year.  We enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them, along with the unique gifts and talents they were blessed with.  Have a great, safe summer!  Good luck to our 8th graders as they begin high school in the fall and welcome to our incoming 7th graders!  We can't wait to get to know you.  Our first day of school is Thursday, August 21st.

Advertising Winners

7th Grade English students, of Miss Burris, recently completed an advertising project.  Students were challenged to create a business card, postcard design and advertisement for Ditto Boutique in Dresden.  The winning business card designs were created by:  Faith Reeves, Dustin Dilts and Sayge Collopy.  The winning postcard design came from:  Wyatt Riggle.  The top advertising award went to:  Hannah Worthington.  Great job to these creative students!  Also, a special thanks to Tracey Tripp for allowing students to put their writing and technology skills to work for a real world project.  The winning designs will be used for advertising for Ditto!


Art Show

The TVMS/TVHS Art Show will be presented in the High School Cafetorium, Monday, May 12th at 6pm.  This is prior to the band concert in the gymnasium.  Check out our fabulous works of art!

The last day to check out library books this school year is May 9th

Eighth grade students need to turn in all library books by May 13th.

Seventh grade students must turn in library books by May 16th.

Make sure you see Mrs. Rotella, in the library, to turn in any misplaced or over due books.

Ecology Club News

Dr. Robert Curry will be visiting the TVMS Ecology Club on Friday, March 28th at 3:30.  He will give a presentation on archaeology and paleontology.  Parents, students and community members are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring any Native American artifacts or fossils to have identified.  The talk will be in Room 101 and is scheduled to last roughly one hour.  Pictured is a small sampling of Dr. Curry's personal collection.  Join us for an interesting, fact filled afternoon!

NFHS Award of Excellence

The National Federation of High School's National Award of Excellence is awarded each year to an outstanding student who has displayed exemplary sportsmanship, ethics and integrity.  This award is presented to the student whom has exhibited qualities that embody good citizenship, good moral character and good sporting behavior.  This year's NFHS National Award of Excellence winner is Alyssa Shawger.  Congratulations Alyssa!


Archie Griffin Award Winners

TVMS recently awarded the OHSAA's prestigious Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award to one male and one female athlete.  The award, named for the two-time Heisman Trophy winner, is awarded to outstanding athletes that promote sportsmanship in their school and community.  These students are excellent role models to their fellow students in displaying sportsmanship and integrity both on the field and in the classroom.  We are pleased to announce Greg Nolder and Emily Untied as our recipients this year.  Great job Greg and Emily!!!

Spring Band Concert

The Spring Band Concert will be held Monday, May 12th in the gymnasium at TVHS.

 

This concert will feature the 5-8 grade band performing their celebration of the arts selections.  The Middle School band will perform their spring concert selections and the Tri-Valley Jazz Band will also be featured.

 

The concert will begin at 7pm.  Join us for a great evening of music.

TVMS Honor Society Induction

 

Tri-Valley Middle School Honor Society Induction will be held Tuesday, May 13th, 1pm in the MS gymnasium.  A cookie and punch reception will be held immediately afterward in the cafetorium.  All family members, and invited guests, are welcome to join us in honoring these new inductees and current members.


TVMS Basketball Benefit
Tri-Valley Middle School held its annual student-staff charity basketball game Friday, May 2nd with proceeds going towards the Tri-Valley Schools Endowment Scholarship Fund. Sponsored by the Middle School’s Junior Honor Society, the event raised nearly $1,000 to go towards the scholarship fund.  Participants in the fun – and competitive – event included: Student team: front row: (l-r) Noah Williams, Alysa Edwards-Frick, Kaelee Dingey, Chase Dinan, Coach Dow Cameron, John McElfresh, Eli Mortimer, Jordan Schneider, and Hannah Meek. 8th Grade Promotion

 

 

The eighth grade promotion ceremony will be held Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm in the Middle School Gymnasium.  Dress clothes, for students, are appreciated.
