ART News from Mrs. Shirer

Artist Kelsey Montague

You may remember seeing the painted wings on the stage from the Open House before school started. You might want to check out how they have transformed when we added the feathers. All of the classes have been so inspired by the Interactive street artist: Kelsey Montague. In fact, she inspired me so much as a teacher that we did multiple projects about her including: portfolios, collage and a flock of birds in the art hallway. Recently, I began an account on Instagram showcasing student art. If you have Instagram, please follow me: @thepinkrainbows or search for Dresden and Adamsville Elementary Art. Our year in art has gotten off to a fabulous start. You can also stay updated by checking out my teacher webpage:!about/c10fk

Don't forget that Zanesville has a beautiful museum. It is always free on Thursdays. It is located on Military Rd behind Little Caesars. They have wonderful programs for children and adults too! Currently, they are exhibiting a printmaking collection of Rembrandt works. They are so beautiful and will be there now through Jan. 5th. They also have a coloring contest for kids. Be sure to check out their website at:
