Holiday Break

Our Holiday Break this year is Dec. 21- Jan 2. School resumes on Jan. 3rd.

Message from the Y-Bridge Longbeards

I would personally like to thank everyone for partnering with our nonprofit organization the Y-Bridge Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and helping us to raise over $2,460.00 to purchase turkeys this year.  Turkey Hunters Care is a community service project that raises funds to provide turkeys to local food pantries. This is the fourth year for our wear to jeans to work event.  Students also participated by having a "Camo Day"or "Hat Day".  There were eight Muskingum County Schools that participated and helped to raise $1,643.00.  All proceeds went to purchasing 254 turkeys which weighed in at 3,602 pounds.  Volunteers from Y-Bridge Longbeards gathered at Christ's Table and the Salvation Army on Wednesday, November 14 to distribute turkeys just in time for Thanksgiving.  We also donated 22 turkeys to a local food pantry.  The organizations were very appreciative and we wouldn't have been able to reach our goal without the support of our community.  We have raised over $10,000.00 in the past four years of our event. We thank you for helping us to raise the spirits of others!  Please pass this information to your staff and students as I hope that we can partner again next year!  We thank you for your commitment to our community and hope that you have a wonderful holiday season! – Melissa Spring, Turkey Hunters Fundraising Chair
